My two cents on trends
What a drag.
I recently started watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, does anyone else watch that show?
No spoilers, i’m at episode 4 now! ;D
Ughh i’m hooked!!
These people give me so much inspiration!

The characters that they create for themselves are genius.
It’s like a whole different person hidden inside, that comes out when the moon sets in.
Well a completely different person, based on their personal best (and worst) features!
Not to mention the make-up is off the charts.
And their sewing skill (as in, you get a couple of hours to create a masterpiece, GO!) is insane.
I’ll take the liberty of sharing my favorites with you. ;D
Let’s have a look!

Confessions of a Shopaholic
Baroness of everything fresh aka Marisa from wearyourvitamins.com, tagged me to join in on Confessions of a Shopaholic!
It involves a couple of questions to peek into everyone’s dressing room.
(What’s more fun than that!!)
After the questions i’ll tag 5 bloggers as well! ![]()
Do you consider yourself a shopoholic?
Agh this is such a double thing for me!
I dislike shopping in overly crowded places, and detest trying on clothes.
But I LOVE playing dress up.
So I try to strike the golden mean between both.
How would you classify your style?
I love polkadots, a-line cuts, cinched in waists, and bright colors.

Affordable party dresses
While Stumbling yesterday I came across this website named Lily Boutique that carries TONS of fun, cruelty free party dresses.
I love how clear their website is as well, nice and clean, no fuss.
So as I said, cruelty free party dresses.. cruelty free.
That does fit within the theme my of blog.. good!
Cause I had to share my favorites.
Warning: if you’re on a budget, look away.
Even though we both sort of know you probably won’t.. hehe. ![]()

Fall with wet n wild suspension!
You bet I thought about that title long and hard!
It’s so beautiful here today, all foggy and fall-y outside.
I realized this after having hopped on my bike to go get some “pistoletjes”!
These tasty things!
We eat them every Sunday here with family, or I even do when i’m alone, accompanied by some coffee!
It’s a Dutch custom!
Anyway I felt like my face needed some warm colors too!
Which is where Angie’s items came in handy, perfectly catered to fall!
I didn’t use the lipstick from the package, but sat down and mixed up a lip tar to go with the gorgeous burgundy lipliner she got me instead, and ended up with this:
Custom lip tar:
NSFW + brown (Traffic, Rx, NSFW, Tarred, a tiny bit of Feathered) and a tiny bit of Tarred again.

OOTE: MUD school Kortrijk
OMGWTFBBQ! All these abbreviations..
My mom went for a lovely contrast outfit.. I adore her shoes. And we wear the same size too.
Muhaha..!
I ended up going for the good ol’ pin-up dress, with some red boots. Yes, I went for comfortable again. -_-’
As for the rest of mah face, I had a retro vibe goin on, and what’s maybe even more exciting to me than the event itself: I got to do my mom’s make-up as well!
Made me feel like a true MU artist, and let me tell you, it was HARD lol!
Applying winged liner on someone else was so difficult, it felt like trying to freehandedly paint a straight line on a dummy.
The event was exciting! Definitely crazy to see something big like that, and the international influences could definitely be seen!
Not to say that’s bad, they needed to go big to set the tone and it was great, however I felt uneasy somehow.
I do think that’s largely due to the crowd, see I actually really liked the people working there, just the visitors were a little creepy haha.
Pictures were VERY much frowned upon. Oh no not by the staff, no no. By the crowd.
The second me and my mom walked into the “black blazer, black u’rything”-crowd there was a staring contest. I felt like we just landed in a bunch of cougars.
Most of them weren’t even interested in the special effects make-up being done!
Then again that may just be my inner world reflecting onto them, because I did get to meet two lovely ladies!
To the left we have contemporary make-up artist & stylist Boucquaert Els, and the right lady is just seriously right up my alley.
A fierce retro hair & make-up stylist called Jill! ![]()
They were kind enough to share some insight and maybe tried to scare me off a little as well, by saying the competition is brutal and the business is rough haha.
Then after that I proceeded to make a big fool of myself by saying “I really thought you had long hair…” to a famous Belgian star as they were working her weave. SMOOTH!
What really surprised me is, standing next to her I could obviously see tons of powder on her face, and the fake hair vs her real hair.
However looking back at some pictures, the skin looks pore-less and fresh!
I’d really like to learn more about HD make-up.
My head is still buzzing from all the new impressions. Like mom said, you won’t be able to sleep now, that’s for sure.
It’s 3 am now, but this post helped me put my mind at ease a bit.
I’m actually going back to the school tomorrow for the actual opening, where you’re able to talk to the artists and sign up.
Even though I got overwhelmed, I enjoyed myself and there’s no doubt i’m supporting them all the way still.
As long as they stay cruelty free i’m there!
