FOTD: Practical Yolker
Warm, sunny, happy, bright, fresh and creative.
Or as Bob Ross might say, red calmed down by the happiness of yellow.
Orange fits the whole idea of summer so perfectly it just has to work on the lips. Has to!
And it does.
Proof of the matter: check how ridiculously cool and wearable it looks in this scene:
So off we go!
Going in face first! Eliminating blue circles because orange lips can emphasize those.
(Great news for you blue eyed humans though!)
To complement the lively orange I wanted ALL the shine up in this joint and a nice bright blusher to go with it too.
POP Beauty Primer
MUD Cream Foundation
MUD Cream Corrector (green next to the eyes and salmon under them)
Inglot Cream Concealer over the correctors
2B Blush 04
Catrice Fairy Dust Highlighter on the cheekbones, tip of the nose, cupid’s bow
MUA Undress Me Too Palette (shimmery beige over the lid and inner corner / nose bridge)
Catrice Waterproof Liquid Liner
MUD Waterproof Mascara
Essence Eyebrow Kit
Onto the lip shade!
There’s tons of oranges out there to suit everyone, but to get that really yellow tint I figured i’d use a Lip Tar and mix my own.
Starting with Gosh Lambada, a very true red.
I thought i’d be sticking with that very Holland-y tint right there.
But playing around with that yellow created more of an egg yolk – hue as the lady on the picture is sporting and I loved it!
What do you call an egg that goes on safari?
An eggs-plorer! Heehee.
Anywho I mixed up a tiny batch of this to wear throughout the week as well, mini energizing cell at the ready!
Would you wear this?
